Alphagary (Orbia) Acquires Fumaric Acid Food Additive Business in Mexico

MEXICO, May 11, 2023 – Orbia’s Polymer Solutions (Alphagary), a global leader in the manufacture of specialty polymer compounds, plasticizers, and stabilizers, announced today the acquisition of the Mexico- based food additives business Neotrimental S.A. de CV (formerly known as Andercol Mexico S.A. de CV), a wholly- owned subsidiary of Grupo IMSA S.A. of Colombia. The manufacturing operations of this business are located at the Orbia Polymer Solutions production site in Altamira, Mexico.

As part of this acquisition, the Polymer Solutions business will work closely with current and future customers, invest to support their growth while also addressing sustainability commitments at the Altamira site.
